Well, the good news is that it was cool and calm as John Domico, Tom Cali, Dave Eggler, Marty Klanchar, Judd Michael, George Lesieutre, Ruth Mick, Dave Moore, John Sheakoski, Michael Goldfine, John Wilcock, Jamie Volkert, John Pringle, Dana Todd, Mark Lee, Ed Thompson, Sherry Tirko, newcomers Cheryl Keller Capone and Joe Bollinger, Tara Murray, and Marty Mazur headed for the track. The bad news is that you can put lipstick on a track workout, but it's still a track workout. Nick Downs, had already been to the track and left a nice glossy pastel sheen for us, so we knew which direction to run.

Bwana wasn't taking any lip. He gave a gloss of the workout: NX3X300. Everybody proceeded to take a powder. Some people took N=2. Bwana tried to encourage everyone to do N=3 unless they were running Tussey tonight. He didn't want anyone to dye.

Some of the excuses Bwana is hearing would make a sailor blush. Jim Myers has forgotten the compact he made. Bwana has to remind Costas Maranas that track is the foundation of a good running program. Mark Traband said something about having to pick up his car. The cylinders weren't firing in sequins. The next time Bob Cornwall shows up at the track, he'll balm. Duane Serpentine won't be in any highlight reels too soon. And Marv Hall needs to attend several make-up sessions!
