It was hot and humid today, but the high pressure system that's keeping the temperatures higher than they were most of August is going to give way soon to back-to-back-to-back hurricane remnants. So Jim Myers, Bob Jones, John Domico, Tom Cali, Jim Moore, Greg Dillon, Randy Jepson, Judd Michael, Lance Bland, Ken Davis, Mark Fedkin, John Sheakoski, Costas Maranas, Sam Thompson, Sherry Tirko, Tim Aydin, Dana Todd, Michael Goldfine, Jamie Volkert, Matt Soccio, John Wilcock, Andy Arndt, newcomer Brett Michaud, Jay Lynch, and Marty Mazur headed for the track for a whirlwind workout.

Bwana gave out a Cat 2 workout: 6X400 2-person relays. Pretty easy to weather for the regulars. (If it weren't so hot, and if most of the crew weren't going up to Tussey for the Discovery Series run, it could easily been a Cat 5 levee-crusher.)

I guess that since they started naming only every other hurricane after women, the gals figure they can skip every other workout. Poor Sherry didn't get that memo. Ruth Mick was sitting in a whirlpool spa with a strawberry daiquiri. Tara Murray was watching her dog Blackie get itself dizzy watching a ceiling fan. Ann Skulas-Ray was putting together a Jim Cantore montage for YouTube from her collected Weather Channel reruns. And Beth Herndon was watching the wind erode some rocks at the Dave Eggler Geoplex.
