You can now join the Nittany Valley Running Club, or renew your membership, online. It's easy to do. And a great deal. $10 per year helps support all the great races, activities, and youth programs that our Club sponsors. There are multi-year and family discounts. The online sign-up is handled by Active.com, and so there is a small convenience fee for this service. But it sure beats trying to remember to renew by mail, let alone tearing your house apart looking for a stamp! Click here to join or renew online. (You can still join or renew by mail by filling out and mailing in this form.)

The Arts Festival Races are the oldest races in Central Pennsylvania. The event was first run in 1976 as a 10 Mile race that started out of town and ended on campus in the midst of Arts Festival tables and booths; the run was shortened to a 10K race in the late 1980's. Over the years the course has gone through numerous changes, adding a 10K, a 5K, and Kids Races and sometimes still offering the 10 Miler.

In early 2018, we moved our email listserve to Google Groups due to unreliable service from our previous provider Yahoo. The Club listserve is where we keep you updated on coming events including races, group runs, meetings, and other activities. It's also a forum for discussing training programs, running health and injury prevention, and anything else of interest in the local running community. You do not have to be a dues-paying member of the NVRC to join our listserve, but we encourage you to join the Club!
If you would like to join our Google Group, instructions and more are here.

The NVRC/20th annual Herbie's Home Town Loop 4 mile run/walk will be held on Saturday, August 8th beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Rogers Stadium.
Jeremy Herbstritt was a 1998 Bellefonte Area High School graduate who loved life and the outdoors. He, and 31 other students and professors, were killed during a mass shooting on April 16, 2007 at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Herbie’s Home “Town Loop” was created by Jeremy's family and friends in 2007 to remember and honor him, and give something back to the community who gave so much to them in their time of grief.
