The first of two All-Comers rack meets of 2010 was held on Tuesday, July 20. About 15 runners tried their feet at running some races from 100 meters to 3200 meters with a 4x100 relay. The 3200 was first with three runners. Ethan Knocke was first in 13:56, with Sheny Li coming in second 15:27 and Karen Weiss in 17:13. In the 100 meter we had three runners Jim Myers ran :14.1, with Andy Hitchins :14.9, and Kim Nelson :18.9. The mile had the must runners with 7. Costas Maranas was first 5:24, followed by Gregory Luna with a 5:32, Cory Neff 5:55, Robert Shaver 6:05, Ethan Knocke 6:54, David Lloyd 8:44, and Karen Weiss 8:55. Next was the 200 meters. Andy Hitchins :33.1, Jerry Steffy did his best to run fast :38.3, with Kim Nelson :38.6. The 1/2 mile was next ,but we had no one who wanted to run that hard again, so we put it off till next week. We gave the 1/4 milers some extra time to get ready for the race. Jim Myers shot out a 67.3, with Cory Neff was close :68.3, Costas Maranas ran :68.8, Ethan Knache :72.7, Matt Smith :78.7, David Lloyd 1:49.5. we were able to get 8 people to try the 4x100 relay Jim, Cory, Andy and Kim won with a 1:02.7 and Sheny, Jerry, Ethan, Karen gave them a team to run against with 1:07.7. Next week we are doing this again at the same place, same time, Tuesday July 27th at the State College Area High School track.
