7th Annual Speed-To-Read 5K - Saturday, June 16, 2007

This years weather was partly cloudy and cool for mid-June. The 9 AM start had 68 runners, ages ten to seventy seven eager for the race.  Andy Cunningham maintained a small lead over Patrick Singletary after the runners settled into their pace, finishing in 17:10.  In the female race, Meira Minard cruised to a comfortable victory in a time of 19:47, followed by Cheryl Capone.
 
While the kid’s fun runs were taking place, the runners had cold water and a nice selection of locally baked cookies, bananas and watermelon.

Thanks goes out to the volunteers that gave a morning of their time to support the Centre Hall Library, Tom Tobey for the shirt design and finally to Dave Eggler and the Nittany Valley Running Club for the timing of our race.
