We were working on our second straight week of winter, with temperatures in the high twenties and the occasional flake as a wintry mix of Greg Fredericks, John Domico, Tom Cali, Marth Nelson, Greg Dillon, Tom Hilands, Marty Klanchar, Ken Davis, Judd Michael, Lance Bland, Mark Fedkin, John Pringle, George Lesieutre, Dana Todd, Laura Shackelton, Marv Hall, Andrew Webb, Jamie Volkert, Ron Cunfer, Sam Thompson, Tim Spigelmyer, Duane Serpentine, and Marty Mazur headed for the track. A couple of the flakes made the turn for the outdoor track, but most of the crew stayed inside.
Bwana was acting really flaky. He had brought the wrong bag to the gym and had to run back to work and back to Rec Hall and then down to the track. So he already had a workout before he got there. Actually, he and Lee Culver had already done a track workout the day before to prepare for tomorrow's Indoor Mile. Bwana thought he's snow everybody with a downward ladder: 5-4-3-2 laps at ever accelerating pace. Nobody was plowed under by the prospect, and the track soon became a flurry of activity.
Activity is just what we're not seeing in certain quadrants. Doppler radar detects a massive, stalled front in the direction of Frank Zaffino. Tara Murray is likely stuck in a drift in Bellefonte. Alexis Navarre and Heidi Albright are waiting for the snow to pile up so they can build a snowman in front of Deike Building. Dave Eggler was doing his "Old Man Winter" impression in front of a full length mirror. And Nick Downs was mixing up some slush in his blender.

The Miss Universe pageant must be fixed, because the winner is always from Earth.
