May 17. 4th Annual Red Raider Rally Run. Bellefonte Area Middle School, Bellefonte , PA. Red Raider Mile Race: Girls – 9 a.m. & Boys – 9:15 a.m. (6th grade & younger), Red Raider 1.5 mile race: Boys & Girls (8th grade & younger) – 9:30 a.m., Red Raider Quarter Mile Race: Girls – 9:50 a.m. & Boys – 10 a.m. (kindergarten & younger), Red Raider Half-Mile Race: Girls (grades 1 & 2) – 10:10 a.m. & Boys (grades 1 & 2) – 10:20 a.m., Girls (grades 3 & 4) – 10:30 a.m. & Boys (grades 3 & 4) – 10:40 a.m., Medals will be awarded to the first 5 finishers in EACH race (Boys & Girls). All contestants in EACH race will receive ribbons. Entry fee for all races: $6 pre-registration (by May 5th) and $8 race day, $2 no shirt. Race day registration 8 a.m. – 8:45 a.m., T-SHIRTS to the first 100 entrants! Application. Please plan on arriving ½ hour prior to your child’s race time. This is a family fitness/health event and will also include dairy promotion giveaways, face painting, blood pressure screenings and much more.

*May 26. 28th Annual Boalsburg Memorial Day Run. 8:30 AM. Blue Spring Park, West Pine St, Boalsburg, PA. Enjoy a "four"-mile course through historic Boalsburg. Runners and walkers welcome. Registration: $15 through Sunday, May 25, $20 on race day. Pre-registration can be done by mail, on Sunday, May 25 at Blues Spring Park from 12 to 2 PM, or at Rapid Transit Sports on Allen St. in Downtown State College. *June 28. 5th Annual Crack O’ Dawn 5K Run/Walk & Pancake Breakfast. 8 AM.  An early morning tour of lesser-known streets in picturesque Boalsburg, PA. Fee includes pancake breakfast after the race ($5 for non-participants) and color race tee shirt.  Advance registration $15 if postmarked by June 18, $20 thereafter; $8 for kids 11 & under. July 6. Happy Valley Sprint Triathlon. Sprint Triathlon on and around the campus of the Pennsylvania State University.  Swim in Penn State's Outdoor Pool, and bike and run past Beaver Stadium and the Bryce Jordan Center, with views of Mt. *July 13. Sue Crowe Memorial 33rd Annual Arts Festival 5K and 10K Road Races and Kids Races. 8:30 AM. Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, State College, PA. "The biggest,  longest running race in Central Pennsylvania. Registration fee: $15 by July 1, $20 afterward. NVRC members deduct $2. Application. July 19. Sloppy Socks 5K. 8:30 AM. American Legion Memorial Park, Hollidaysburg, PA. This new race will take place at American Legion Memorial Park in Hollidaysburg. December 7. 3rd Annual Polar Bear 5K Run and 3K Walk. Sponsored by Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and Alpha Phi Sorority. All the Proceeds benefit the Centre Communities Chapter of the American Red Cross through our national "Blood, Sweat and Cash Service Project." The race starts at 508 Locust Lane, State Collge, PA 16801. The course is in downtown State College. Details to follow.

*December 13.  5th Annual State College Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis.  5K Run or 1 mile Walk.  Kid’s Fun Run Around Ball Park.  Race starts at 11:00 AM, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park – State College Spikes Baseball Stadium. Costume Contest, Raffle Prizes and ‘Santa on a Harley’. Trophies to Male and Female Winners.  Medals to top three in five year age categories.  NVRC members: Participate in the 2nd Annual Big 10 Challenge.
