IF I COULD CHOOSE MY OWN NICKNAME OR EPITAPH:
I STARTED RUNNING (WHEN, WHERE, HOW...): In grad school to handle
the stress of a difficult advisor.
AVERAGE MILES PER WEEK: 9-10 in the summer; 15-20 otherwise.
A TYPICAL TRAINING WEEK: 3 4-mile runs home from work, a long
run (6 miles) and some intervals on the weekend.
PREFERRED RACE OR RACING DISTANCE: 10K
NUMBER OF RACES PER YEAR: 3-4
A GOOD 10K TIME FOR ME WOULD BE: under an hour
WHY I RUN: To stay in shape, stay relaxed, and I like feeling
strong and healthy during a run. I'm so grateful that I CAN.
PEOPLE MIGHT BE SURPRISED TO LEARN THAT: I teach a course on
sex (I'm still surprised by that!)
