NICKNAME (AND WHY): None.  You need a personality before can acquire a nickname.
IF I COULD WRITE MY OWN EPITAPH:   Running killed him.  He died happy.
I STARTED RUNNING (WHEN, WHERE, HOW...):  I was a chubby, runny nosed kid. More so than my retired-Marine, Athletic Director, football coach father could stomach.  Third day of summer break after 6th grade, Dad interrupted my morning Gilligan's Island ritual to announce he needed my help with something.  Loaded my brother and I into the Wagoneer and drove 3 miles out of town.  Kicked us out on the shoulder of Lumber City highway and yelled "Run Home!" as he drove away.  That was my introduction.  I didn't run competitively until my later college years.  Instead, I wrestled in HS and college.  But after seeing how those buff distance runners got all of the girls, I decided to run.
AVERAGE MILES PER WEEK:  35-40 low cycle, 60 during marathon training.
A TYPICAL TRAINING WEEK: Tempo Tuesdays, Track Thursdays, maintenance in-between.  Distance on weekend.  Lift a little, eat a lot.
PREFERRED RACE OR RACING DISTANCE: Marathon, 5K
NUMBER OF RACES PER YEAR:  4
A GOOD 10K TIME FOR ME WOULD BE:  36:anything
WHY I RUN:  Birth Control (that doesn't violate any religion that I'm aware of)
PEOPLE MIGHT BE SURPRISED TO LEARN THAT: My wife fell in love with me because she thought I was intelligent, witty, and handsome.
